April 27, 2004--Members of the Hawaii Martial Arts International Society, the Martial Arts Community, and the General Public will be joined together in 2005 at the 5th Annual Hawaii Martial Arts International Society Ohana Gathering. To complement our HMAISociety Black Belt Testing, our unparalleled and educational World Class Legends and Masters Seminar, and our exceptional Hall of Fame Awards Banquet, the HMAIS will also provide outstanding networking opportunities with many Vendors Exhibits. We will also bring together some of worlds greatest martial arts legends, masters, pioneers, and grandmasters of the martial arts world community, along with several international martial arts celebrities of the Film Industry. They will all share their insights, and their ideas for the future, and the growth of the HMAISociety. * 5th ANNUAL HALL OF FAME AWARDS BANQUET: The 5th Annual Hall of Fame Awards Banquet will be held on Friday evening, July 8, 2005 at The New Frontier Hotel & Casino Cheyenne Ballroom. This is the event you don't want to miss!!! Many of the worlds Martial Arts Legends, Masters, Pioneers, Grandmasters, and Celebrities will be present for this great event! Banquet tickets will not be sold at the door - (ADVANCED TICKET SALES only). * WORLD CLASS LEGENDS & MASTERS SEMINAR: The Legends & Masters Seminar will be held on July 9, 2005 - Saturday , at The New Frontier Hotel & Casino Cheyenne Ballroom in Las Vegas, Nevada - USA. The first two hours of the seminar will feature only "special" Legends, Pioneers, or Grandmasters in the martial arts from Hawaii and abroad, and from several different disciplines, demonstrating their talents and techniques. Following this, various world class martial arts legends, masters, & grandmasters from different styles will teach sessions throughout the day. Each hour will represent something new and different for all of our participants. Each class will be one (1) hour in duration, featuring hands-on training in many different styles and martial arts systems. * HMAISociety BLACK BELT TESTING: The Hawaii Martial Arts International Society will host it's first International Black Belt Testing on Sunday July 10th, 2005 at The New Frontier Hotel & Casino Cheyenne Ballroom. This will be a historic event, and will feature many high ranking Grandmasters, Legends, Pioneers, Masters, & Celebrities, seated on several international testing boards panels. Further details will be forthcoming regarding you, or your students participation as a "Black Belt Testing Candidate". So start preparing yourself now, to be tested by some of the greatest martial artists in the world. In addition, your "Black Belt Ranking Certificate" will be issued by the HMAISociety, and will be signed by some of the most respected martial artists in the world. * FILM WORKSHOPS: A film workshop will be hosted by several producers, directors, and actors of the film industry. For those of you who are interested in learning more about being in the film industry, this will be one great opportunity for you to hear about what it takes to become involved in acting, and in film projects. This workshop will also have it's participants do their very own demo/short film, involving a fight scene, and will be placed on a DVD for your keeping. Photo shots will also be available with the actors and models. This is a workshop you really don't want to miss!
*CERTIFICATION CLINICS: The HMAISociety - Tournaments & Sanctions Committee, will be hosting an "OFFICIALS CLINIC" for tournament certification in several SPORTS MARTIAL ARTS related venues. Black Belts, Red Belts, and Brown Belts, Volunteers, and others are encouraged to attend this clinic, to become an "Official" for our HMAISociety International Tournaments. More details to follow!
* EXHIBIT/VENDORS BOOTH: Exhibitors, businesses, organizations, and schools may now exhibit their products at our HMAISociety event. * HOTEL RESERVATIONS: The New Frontier Hotel & Casino will give a great discount to all who books their reservations with them. You will need to call the Hotel and identify yourself as being with the Hawaii Martial Arts International Society to receive these special group rates.
